We'll Need at Least 2 Weeks Lead Time - Wherever Possible

In most cases we are usually booked out for at least 2 weeks in advance, depending on varying factors such as the economic climate, specific holiday periods (Christmas, Valentine's Day, etc) and of course our national / long-term clients schedules and deadlines. It's important to give us as much notice as possible so that we can meet your deadlines with the highest of quality production.

50% Prior to Commencement

We charge 50% up-front, prior to commencement, which is both not negotiable and non refundable. While this is mostly a surety for our booking schedules and time-lines, it also works in your favour. Over the past decade we have found that the more dedicated our clients are to the outcome of their business,  the more responsive they are, and thus, the quicker their project moves through concept to completion and launch.

Then We Converse on Your Target Audience, Goals and Visions

In order to dedicate ourselves to the outcome of your business as if it were our own, we have to have a very good insight into your operation, your visions for the future, your target audience and so on. For us to obtain this information it is paramount that we ask a lot of questions in the initial stages.

We will need to know:

• The benefits of your offering
• Why it’s unique or superior to a competing business / brand
• What claims you want to make about it
• The personality of your brand / business
• The profile of your target audience / reader
• Their needs and wants
• Their motivation for reading
• Why they should trust you - experience, certification, qualifications, longevity, customer feedback
• Your call to action

The Designing, Writing, Programming & Review Processes

We always provide a 'Proof' in Low Resolution first. These will be (C) Copyright of Design Firm Pty Ltd (only until the final payment has been made and has cleared) 

IMPORTANT: It's important that we sort out any design and layouts before approval of any projects before moving on to the next stage. In particular with websites - it is costly to re-design once it has already been programmed (almost half the cost of a new website).

The first draft is where the heavy yards are performed by us, we will only send it through to you for review when we are entirely satisfied with the project.

We send all proofing of copy and designs via email. It is important that you respond to the email, in writing, with approvals or any alterations that you request.

It’s important to note that the review process will take quite a bit of your time. So please set some time aside so you can do it without distractions. Great reviewing makes for great project results. It also eliminates costly changes down the road by picking these up in the proofing process.

The Timeframes

We can provide a firm completion date once we’ve received your signed Approval of Quote form (included in your proposal), your first instalment payment (due PRIOR to commencement), and all the background information and materials that we need.

Until then, the best we can do is the approximate timeframes available under each article throughout our site.

The total turnaround time depends on a lot of factors, including:

• How long it takes you to sign and fax back the Quotation Approval document
• How long it takes you to pay the 50% of the overall quote - due PRIOR to commencement
• How long it takes you to provide all of the background information and materials (logos, etc)
• How long it takes us to write / design the proofs
• How long it takes you to review the proofs and provide final approvals

Invoicing

When all’s said and done, we’ll send you an invoice for the final 50%. Standard terms are 7 days.
We will not hand over any project until the final payment has cleared, we're sure you can understand our reasoning here.

Once the final payment has been received and cleared, we will send through all of the High-Resolution documents that you require, or launch your website to the public.

(C) Copyrights

Once the final approval and payments have cleared into our account - all project relative Copyrights will pass over to you. Beware of other agencies that fail to hand over complete Copyright to their clients, it certainly isn't a rare occurance and is paramount to your future growth and success.

Although you will own your Copyrights to all of the projects that we create for you, Design Firm Pty Ltd will however maintain rights to display any of our completed projects on our website, in our marketing materials or submit to international design and marketing peak industry competitions, for which we pride ourselves on having won many.
